As schools resume for a new academic session, Hon. Princess Oluwaseun Dosunmu, candidate for the Oyo State House of Assembly, Ibadan North-East Constituency 2, has extended her warm greetings and best wishes to students, parents, teachers and school administrators across the constituency and Oyo State.
In a message marking the resumption, Hon. Dosunmu described education as a vital foundation for the development of individuals, families and society, stressing the need for young people to approach the new academic session with discipline, determination, curiosity and a strong commitment to learning.
She congratulated students for successfully returning to school and encouraged them to make the most of every opportunity available to them.
“To our dear students, welcome back to school. A new academic session presents another opportunity to learn, grow, discover your talents and prepare yourselves for the future. I encourage you to remain focused, respect your teachers, embrace discipline and never stop believing in your abilities.”
Hon. Dosunmu also acknowledged the efforts of parents and guardians who continue to make sacrifices to provide education and better opportunities for their children, as well as teachers and other education workers whose dedication contributes significantly to the development of the next generation.
She called for continued collaboration among parents, educators, communities and government at all levels to create a learning environment where every child can thrive, regardless of background.
According to her, quality education, skills development and youth empowerment must remain important priorities in building a prosperous and productive society.
She further urged students to stay away from negative influences, cultivate good character and use their time wisely, reminding them that today's learning and discipline will contribute significantly to the opportunities they will have tomorrow.
“Education is more than obtaining certificates; it is about acquiring knowledge, developing character, discovering purpose and gaining the skills needed to contribute meaningfully to society. Let us give our children the support they need to succeed.”
Hon. Dosunmu wished all students a successful, productive and rewarding academic session, while praying for wisdom, protection, good health and excellent academic performance throughout the session.
