The only certified Oyo State gubernatorial candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dr. Gbemileke Alagbe Eleniyan, joined the party’s presidential candidate, H.E. Atiku Abubakar, at the burial ceremony of the late mother of the ADC vice-presidential candidate, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi.
Alagbe accompanied Atiku and other members of the ADC family to the funeral ceremony, where he expressed his condolences to Amaechi and his family over the loss of their matriarch.
The Oyo governorship candidate also extended his sympathy to the entire Amaechi family and the wider ADC family, praying for strength and comfort for them during the period of mourning.
The gathering also provided an opportunity for prominent members of the ADC to come together in solidarity with one of the party’s leading figures.
The moment further highlighted the cordial relationship and strong rapport between the ADC Oyo State Governorship candidate, Dr. Gbemileke Alagbe Eleniyan, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and the party’s vice-presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi, as they jointly participated in the funeral activities.
The presence of Alagbe at the ceremony also underscored the unity and solidarity among the party’s candidates as the ADC continues preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections.
