The campaign flag-off was held at the Methodist (Special) Primary School, Apara Oyo field, where hundred of Thousands supporters gathered for the commencement of the campaign activities.
The programme opened with prayers delivered in different religious traditions. Imam Badmus led the Islamic prayer, while Ifawole Olaniyan offered the traditional prayer and Pastor Oladairo Joseph led the Christian prayer.
Among the dignitaries present were Chief Niyi Aborisade, deputy governorship candidate; the governorship candidate first lady; Hon. Agboola Alphonso, DG Eleniyan campaign organization ; Chief Onifade, Oyo State chairman; Hon. Basiru Busari, House of Representatives candidate; and Hon. Ilori, Oyo State House of Assembly candidate.
Speaking to party supporters, Aborisade outlined some of the administration's proposed policies, including free education and greater local government autonomy. He also spoke about the need to strengthen security across the state.
Alagbe, in his address, presented a number of proposals for his administration if elected.
He said his government would seek to create more than 2,000 job opportunities annually, while promising bursaries for students who graduate with first-class degrees.
The ADC candidate also announced plans for an industrial hub in Oyo, saying the initiative would be aimed at stimulating economic activities and creating employment opportunities.
He further proposed the development of an international airport in the Oyo axis, which he said would be located between Ibadan and Oyo.
The campaign also featured calls for support for the ADC's presidential ticket. Alagbe urged supporters to vote for Atiku Abubakar and Rotimi Amaechi in the presidential election and support ADC candidates across the ballot.
