ADC Chieftain Challenges Tinubu to Disclose Primary, Secondary School Records

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Kalu Kalu, has challenged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to publicly disclose the names of the primary and secondary schools he attended, following controversies surrounding the educational qualifications submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Kalu made the remarks on Monday while speaking as a guest on Channels Television's Politics Today, where he questioned the President's educational history as contained in the documents submitted to INEC.

His comments come after INEC published the personal particulars and credentials of presidential candidates in line with the Electoral Act, a process that allows members of the public to scrutinize the information submitted by candidates seeking elective offices.

According to Kalu, the President failed to list his primary and secondary school qualifications in the educational section of his nomination documents, raising fresh concerns about the completeness of the information provided.

He also referenced Tinubu's 2022 INEC submission, alleging inconsistencies in the names appearing on the President's National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate.

"Come and tell Nigerians which primary and secondary schools you attended," Kalu said.

He further alleged:

"Even in 2022, in the INEC document he submitted, he claimed he had a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate. And the name on that certificate was Bola Adekunle Tinubu. So where did he get 'Adekunle' from? He claimed he graduated, but the certificate was forged."

The allegations have added to the ongoing political debate surrounding the credentials of candidates ahead of the 2027 general election.

As of the time of filing this report, the Presidency has not officially responded to Kalu's latest remarks.

The issue is expected to continue generating political and legal discussions as the electoral process progresses toward the 2027 polls.
