Alagbe stated this during a live appearance on Politics Today, hosted by Seun Okinbaloye on Channels Television on Friday evening.
The ADC candidate alleged that the party’s National Secretary, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, was behind the alleged attempt to change his name on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal.
According to Alagbe, INEC informed them during the stage protest by the faithful ADC memebers, that there had been about five attempts to change his name on its portal.
He expressed confidence that INEC would not allow what he described as a “reprobate” of such an attempt to happen in the first place, stressing the need for the integrity of the electoral process to be protected.
Alagbe also called on security agencies to investigate what he described as the activities of some self-acclaimed leaders within the party who, according to him, were working against the progress of the ADC and the democratic process.
He said every member of the party should be given the opportunity to “fly” and contribute to the growth of the ADC without being hindered by internal interests.
Reacting to claims by some of his critics that he would be unable to challenge the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in the 2027 Oyo State governorship election, Alagbe dismissed the speculation.
The ADC candidate expressed confidence in his electoral prospects, saying he was certain of victory in the 2027 election and would become the next Governor of Oyo State.
